Sykes Stairlifts Proud to Support Smile Therapy Ponies

At Sykes Stairlifts, we’re passionate about supporting initiatives that make a real difference in our local community, which is why we’re delighted to sponsor four outings each year for the wonderful Smile Therapy Ponies, a Sheffield charity run by Lynne and Kathy.

Last week, our latest sponsored visit saw Leo and Harry spend time with people at the Archer Project, that provides invaluable support for people experiencing homelessness.

Leo and Harry are much more than friendly faces. These gentle therapy ponies visit charities, care settings and community organisations to help reduce stress, encourage social interaction and promote emotional wellbeing. During each visit, people have the chance to stroke them, groom them and even lead them around, creating moments of calm, confidence and genuine connection.

It’s amazing to see the smiles they bring wherever they go. No matter someone’s age or background, Leo and Harry have a special way of brightening the day and lifting spirits.

Over recent years, we’ve been proud to sponsor visits to a number of fantastic organisations, including the Steps Rehabilitation Programme on Archer Road, Greens Care Home in Dronfield, the McIntyre Charity, and now the Archer Project. We leave it to the Smile Therapy Ponies team to choose where the outings will have the greatest impact, knowing they’ll always make a positive difference.

We’re honoured to play a small part in helping Leo and Harry continue their incredible work in our community and look forward to supporting many more visits in the future.
